Dua Iftitah Audition (Boys 7-16) Print E-mail

As the month of Mahe-Mubarak Ramadhan draws near, those boys between the ages of 7 and 16 who are interested in reciting Dua Iftetah in the Main Hall  are requested to attend an audition session on Thursday 19th July at 7.30pm in the annexe. The audition will be conducted by  a select committee and those who are capable to recite will be chosen accordingly.

hilalThe next new moon occurs on Thursday 19th July, 2012 at 05:24 BST. On this day it cannot be seen anywhere in the world by an unaided eye. On Friday, 20th July, 2012, it can easily be seen in Africa, Americas, Australia, and South-East Asia. On Saturday, 21st July, 2012, it can easily be seen in Europe and the rest of the world.

A rationale for the beginning of Mahe Mubarak Ramadhan, 1433AH, has been agreed by Hilal Advisory Team of the Council of European Jamats and has been forwarded to Najaf for guidance from His Eminence Ayatullah ul-Uzama Syed Sistani (May Allah Protect him). Depending on guidance from Najaf, we will publish a statement on Friday 20th July, 2012, after Maghribayn.  Saturday, 21st July 2012, will, InshaAllah, mark the completion of 30 days of Sha’baan, 1433AH. Expect 1st Mahe Mubarak Ramadhan, 1433AH, on Sunday 22nd July, 2012 for Muqallideen of His Eminence Ayatullah ul-Uzama Syed Sistani (May Allah Protect him).

For the Muqallideen of Marhum Ayatullah Al-Khoei (May Allah Elevate his status), 1st Mahe Mubarak Ramadhan, 1433AH, will be on Saturday 21st July, 2012.

coejmamtThe Council of European Jamaats has the pleasure of inviting you to the 10th Annual Mulla Asgher Memorial Tournament (MAMT) for 2012. The tournament will be held in north London during the UK Bank Holiday weekend in August, between Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 August 2012 inshAllah.

We are inviting participants to play the following sports:
• 5-a-side football
• Netball
• Badminton
• Table Tennis
• Swimming

Each team needs to submit their entry for all sports no later than Friday 3 August 2012 including player details and the required registration fee per player. w_jamkaran_24He was born on the night of 15th of Sha'ban in the year 255 AH. At the time of the death of his father, he was five years old.

God endowed him with wisdom and the distinction of speech. He made him a sign to the worlds. He endowed him with wisdom as He had endowed John the Baptist while still a boy. He made him an Imam while still in the state of apparent childhood just as He made Jesus, son of Mary, a prophet in the cradle.

The nomination of him had been given earlier to the community of Islam by the Holy Prophet, then by the Commander of the faithful, Ali bin Abu Talib, and the Imams, consecutively one after another, down to his own father, al-Hasan (al-Askari), had nominated him.
